Profile

Innocent Zero is the leader of a criminal organization of the same name and was one of Adam Jobs' three apprentices.

He is the main antagonist of the Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc and the Eclipse Arc, as well as serving as the main antagonist of the series.

Appearance[]

Innocent Zero can freely alter his appearance through unknown means. His default form being a faceless humanoid. He can, if desired, change to his past self's appearance, which he did so during his battle with Wahlberg.

On his human form, Innocent Zero has the appearance of a handsome man with long silvery-white hair, red eyes, and two arrow marks under his left eye, resembling the hour and minute hand of a clock.

In his demonic form, Innocent Zero's appearance looks similar to his human form, apart from having purple skin, a more muscular build, and possessing longer ears. Both of his eye have black sclera with white pupils and he also possesses long horns popping out of his head, five eyes on his chest and black feathered wings.

In his perfected form, he becomes a white humanoid devoid of distinct facial features apart from black eyes and a mouth. accompanied by four wings that have numerous holes and a gear-shaped halo in the head. He has two lines heading temporally from his eyes, and a vertical line running straight through the middle of his face.

Personality[]

Innocent Zero is a very narcissistic and selfish person, as he believes everyone is born for his sake. He desires to "absorb" Mash to become "The Perfect Human Being". He also views himself to be "more human" than anyone else. Like Mash, he also uses dry humor.

Innocent Zero is later shown to be effectively drunk on his power to the point of megalomania, believing himself a "winner" in life, and that such status makes him entitled to whatever he wants, looking down on everyone as an inferior and worthless, while proclaiming the world to be his.

When denied and pushed into a corner, Innocent Zero's condescending and boastful posturing, collapse in a matter of seconds, paving the way for his bitterness and anger to take hold. As he was pushed to his very limits, Innocent Zero attempted to destroy the entire world with his Thirds in a spiteful attempt to destroy all opposition while mocking them for being unable to stop him.

Despite his innumerable crimes, and atrocities committed, Innocent Zero is still not completely malicious. When defeated and asked by Mash to repair all the destruction and death he caused, he complied, but instantly denied he did so out of any good will and purely because he simply didn't care anymore. Although Innocent Zero believed Mash's words to him to be naive, it made him rethink his outlook on the mindless pursuit of power. Subsequently he resigned himself to his arrest.

History[]

Past[]

Young

A young Innocent Zero alongside his teacher, Wahlberg and Meliadoul.

In the past, Innocent Zero, Wahlberg, and Meliadoul were students of the strongest wizard, Adam Jobs. He was a student of the Lang Dorm.

Magia Lupus Arc[]

After Cell War returns from Easton Magic Academy, he tells Innocent Zero that he has found what was lost. Innocent Zero says that he can finally have his wish and asks Cell to retrieve it for him. When Mash's identity as a non-magic user is exposed and is put on trial, Innocent Zero infects Bless Minister with a Magi-Parasite and communicates through it, threatening the Divine Visionaries into not interfering with Mash as it is "his property" or else the vice-director will be killed. Mash subsequently rips the parasite out of Bless' body and is unaffected due to his magicless nature.

Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc[]

Innocent Zero decides to take action to retrieve Mash and goes to Easton, in the company of Cell War and the Criminal Canes, mounting dragons as transport.

After Mash defeats Margarette Macaron, he breaks through the test ground's barrier on his dragon. Greeting everyone, he stops time around the area and teleports right next to Mash. Joyful at finding Mash in perfect state, he mutters to himself how he can take him back to serve as his vessel to perfect himself, but is soon interrupted by Wahlberg who claims he won't let him take Mash with him.

When Gail Garrett attempts to make the first move, he's instantly stopped by Wahlberg's immense pressure, to which Innocent Zero jokingly replies to stop bullying his subordinate, summoning several demons intending to slaughter the students. Wahlberg uses his magic to unfreeze Mash, Lance, Dot, Margarette, Kaldo and Orter and instructs them to defend the students from Innocent Zero's henchmen, while taking himself and Innocent Zero away with his spatial magic.

Floating in the skies, Innocent Zero takes off his hood exposing his faceless appearance which shocks Wahlberg. Innocent Zero then transforms his face to his original appearance daring Wahlberg to call him friend if he sees him as he was before, enraging Wahlberg for Innocent Zero's abandonment of his humanity. Innocent Zero retorts that he's more human than anybody and that as such his desires are limitless. Right now he desires two things: To take his son, Mash with himself, and to kill Wahlberg.

Innocent Zero then reveals a large coffin which hides none other than the body of Adam Jobs, their master, restored to its prime as a result of Innocent Zero's time magic, although he explains it still remains a soulless body. In order to use it he has his underling Necross Mance use his magic to control it. Necross Mance attacks Wahlberg with an array of Adam's powerful Darkness Magic, but Wahlberg is able to fend him off using his spatial magic, and subsequently engulfs them both in his Spacez Sacrifice spell, banishing them. Innocent Zero silently praises his fellow disciple, before trading blows.

Although Wahlberg unleashes powerful magic, Innocent Zero's time magic gives him an advantage by slipping through and attacking Wahlberg in brief times he leaves himself open. Wahlberg is impressed at Innocent Zero's growth in power and unleashes his Spaces Bout Stampede to consecutively cut the space around himself, but Innocent Zero counters this by stopping time and moving away before he does, and then blasting Wahlberg's left arm. Innocent Zero mocks Wahlberg as the power difference is too great, rubbing that Wahlberg's seflless nature became his weakness, as he grew stronger by fixating on himself.

As Wahlberg remembers his youth with Adam saving him from his sad life, he concedes that living for oneself is not bad, but that he was saved by the goodwill of others so he won't leave others behind. Wahlberg unleashes his Thirds spell, enveloping the space around them, and effectively disabling Innocent Zero from targeting him with his spells as the space teleports it away. In response Innocent Zero halts the time on the space itself, and then uses his Timez Arrow Head to impale Wahlberg, leaving him with grieve injuries. Wahlberg does not stop, however as his spell is still being charged, revealing he has been pouring all his magic in his spell, and as such even if he were to die, the will of his wand will still propel the spell. Innocent Zero curses Wahlberg for his commitment as the spell is unleashed all around them.

Although Wahlberg believes he's victorious, Innocent Zero is intact as he rewound the time of the spell, effectively disabling it. The two trade blows once more, but an Arrow Head injures Wahlberg and his wand drops. Innocent Zero grabs Wahlberg by his hair, praising him for his strength, but elaborates how he will become stronger as he lives for himself alone, holding him at blank point. Wahlberg laments his weakness, and succumbs to his sorrow questioning whether his long-held beliefs were destined to be crushed by mere selfishness. Before Innocent Zero can kill Wahlberg he takes a knee to his face, courtesy of Mash who saves Wahlberg in the nick of time.

Surprised to see Mash, the youth reminds Wahlberg of his question during the entrance exam, regarding what he would do if faced with someone stronger than himself, to which Mash responds that he would beat them down with his fists.
