Max Land is an affable and intelligent third-year student at Easton Magic Academy and a member of Adler dorm.
Appearance[]
Max is a young man with brown hair with brown eyes and white pupils. He has two magic marks on his face. He wears the Adler uniform.
Personality[]
Max is a friendly guy with a positive attitude who helps out his junior Adler's as shown when he helped Mash Burnedead during the Exam.
In the final chapter, he is shown talking with Carpaccio Luo-Yang, showing he is willing to forgive and befriend enemies. He is also a roommate and best friend of Rayne Ames for years, meaning that he is trustworthy enough to befriend somebody with detached behavior like Rayne.

Size-Changing Magic: Max's currently unnamed personal magic allows him to change the size of things. Up to 3 things can be changed at a time.
- Small (スモール Sumōru): A spell that shrinks a target into a much smaller size. Applications of this spell include shrinking oneself and others to avoid danger.
- Dispel (ディスペル Disuperu): A spell that cancels the effects of Max's personal magic, returning a target back to its original size.
- Bigduk (ビグダック Bigudakku): A spell that enlarges a target into a much bigger size.
Great Magic Power: As a double-liner, Max possesses a great amount of magic power. However, he is no match for Carpaccio Luo-Yang, a Master Cane wielder.

Rayne Ames[]
Rayne is Max's best friend who have been roommates since middle school. Max was the one who recommended rabbit breeding to Rayne who is aiming to become Divine Visionary in order to mentally recuperate. Because of his suggestion, Rayne became a diehard rabbit fan. Max helps Rayne on taking care of those rabbits whenever Rayne is busy. Max thought of Rayne as an awkward person who taking jokes too seriously that he had to taught Rayne about so many new things.
Carpaccio Luo-Yang[]
Both of Max and Carpaccio were assigned as the participants of Divine Visionary Selection Exam. However, their first meeting was terrible as Max sensed some unpleasant hunch from Carpaccio. His feeling was right, they ended up confronting each other which resulted on Max severely injured as Carpaccio humiliated him in front of other participants and students.
Long story short, after got defeated by Mash Burnedead, Carpaccio allegedly to reflected on his wrongdoing. Carpaccio started to approached Max as this senior piqued his curiosity and went as far as following Max everywhere. However, Max didn't seem to be troubled and casually befriended Carpaccio as if he never held a grudge on the horrible thing Carpaccio did to him in the past.
