Summon is a rare ability that only a select few, the triple-liners, can use. It is the ability to call upon a god's strength from within a magic wand. The summons are named after ancient mythological figures.

Description[]

A wand transforms into its true form after a successful Summon. According to Cell War, a wand unleashed via a Summon doesn't just have its own power enhanced. The level of magic power the caster can unleash becomes "incomparable". With a Summon, entry-level spells can be as powerful as Secondth spells.

A dark lightning-like effect is shown whenever a Summon is activated.

Trivia[]

  • Abel Walker, who was given an artificial third line by Innocent Zero, is not a natural triple-liner and hence not able to "Summon".
  • Decius initially did not have a known epithet due to Famin having it activated without chanting its name. Decius' name was only revealed in katakana through its Thirds and it's epithet was later revealed in the fanbook.
  • Doom is the first triple-liner to summon a god that is not from Greek mythology.
  • While not possessing a Summon due to a lack of magic, Mash Burnedead named one of his strongest techniques after one from Greek mythology, namely Gaia.
  • Both Adam Jobs and Innocent Zero have a Summon that is linked to Darkness, but it is unknown if those Summons are actually the same due to their different appearances.
  • Sands is currently the only personal magic without a known god despite its reveal in chapter Chapter 124 as it was not revealed in the fanbook.
